Grace Hill Church is a multi-generational body of Christ followers that seeks to nurture each other as a family and pour out the love of Christ on our community. We meet every Sunday at 10am for a worship service. All ages and backgrounds are wholeheartedly welcome to join us for this service with Bible preaching and expressions of faith in Christ Jesus. Children are always welcome with us in our service and childcare for ages 5 and younger is also an option during the sermon.
Our community is equally close-knit and eager to welcome newcomers. We enjoy gathering during the week to support each other as friends, join in prayer, discuss Bible passages, and live life together in Hillsborough and the surrounding areas of Orange and Durham counties. |
What are Sunday mornings like?

What's the experience for my children?
We take great joy in celebrating God’s precious gift of children at Grace Hill. Their presence is always welcome in the sanctuary and there are opportunities for them to participate in special performances throughout the year to singing with the church as well as responding to teaching. During the sermon there’s an option for children ages 5 and younger to enjoy playtime with books and toys in the nursery.
During the Sunday School time there are classes staffed with sincere-hearted and background-checked teachers for the following ages:

What's the music like?
Our worship team uses a mix of classic hymns and modern songs to glorify the Lord. Worship is typically piano-led with a variety of acoustic instruments accompanying, leveraging the gifts and talents of our congregation. We give praise to the Lord with our voices, hands and arms and in the greeting of our neighbors and attention to studying His Word.
What are the messages like?
Messages are Bible-centered and work through particular books of the Bible which rotate regularly. They include reading of the Bible text and application points for how God’s Word can come alive in our life throughout the week. We openly confess our areas of resistance to the Lord’s direction as He instructs, to keep our hearts soft to His direction. We also recite creeds together as a way to connect ourselves to Christ-followers through the ages and across the world. We celebrate the work of the Christian Church as the love of Jesus is uniquely celebrated throughout the world. We often pray for missionaries and welcome organizations from the Triangle area and around the world to share the way they’re living out the gospel message.
What do I wear?
Come as you are! We never want someone to avoid entering church for fear they won't be wearing the right thing. Modest and respectful attire for entering the house of the Lord is all that is asked. When seasonal weather requires, shorts are present but most often you’ll see folks in slacks, casual dresses, and unconcerned with the latest fashions.
What if I come from a different denomination or spiritual tradition?
We’re glad to have you! Your respectful curiosity and exploration of faith in Christ Jesus is welcome here. Church is a place for worship, learning, and connection. These are all built in the church and aren't required prior to joining us.
